Catalogue: Brushing the Present

This catalogue includes thirty-five works by twenty-seven contemporary Chinese artists whose paintings reveal an alternative view of contemporary Chinese art from what is normally seen in North American museums. The artists received their training at a variety of Chinese institutions and are affiliated with universities and art academies of Northern China. These artists are teaching the next generation of Chinese visual artists.
