About Sculpture accompanies the large-scale exhibition About Painting and features artworks from the Tang Collection as well as several on extended loan. Works include a wooden dresser that artist Jean Blackburn meticulously sliced apart and elaborately reassembled, an elongated woven dress created by Beverly Semmes, and a new inflated-nylon installation by Lee Boroson, featured in the museum’s atrium. The exhibition also includes work by Stephan Balkenhol, Dorothy Dehner, Nancy Dwyer, Charles Long, and Richard Pettibone.
About Sculpture is organized by Tang curator Ian Berry and made possible with support from the Friends of the Tang.
