Join us for a conversation with choreographer and performer Elizabeth Streb and visual artist Nancy Grossman, whose work is featured in the Tang survey Nancy Grossman: Tough Life Diary. Sharing similarly uncompromising artistic visions, Streb and Grossman have been in dialogue for many years about their work.

Artist talk with Pam Lins

Brooklyn-based artist Pam Lins explores the psychological and aesthetic potential of objects and images. While Lins refers to her work primarily as sculpture, she consistently questions traditional notions of the medium through its relationship to other forms of representation, most notably photography and painting. Mixing a love of formal, modernist art with a madcap, idiosyncratic sensibility, Lins’s work interrogates both itself and its engagement with architecture and viewers.

Join Mason Stokes in conversation with artist Donald Moffett as they discuss ideas, catalysts, and the context in which Moffett has been making art for the past twenty years. Stokes, an Associate Professor of English and chair of the English Department at Skidmore College, teaches courses in African American Literature and the history of sexuality.

Crimp is the author of On the Museum’s Ruins and Melancholia and Moralism: Essays on AIDS and Queer Politics, as well as a contributor to the exhibition catalogue for Donald Moffett: The Extravagant Vein.
