Tang Family Art program
with Saratoga Reads!

February 21, 2012, 10:30am - 12:00pm

The Tang Museum at Skidmore College will host a family art-making program during school break week to accompany this year's Saratoga Reads! Junior Selections.

Tuesday, February 21, 10:30 AM – Noon.

We will look at images of cells, and learn about the parts of cells, then make colorful ones of our own out of Model Magic clay, beads, sequins, and more -- a great opportunity to learn a little science while having fun doing a creative project!

It would be a good idea to read at least one of the wonderful junior selections before that day:

Phineas Gage: A Gruesome but True Story About Brain Science
by John Fleischman

Hidden Worlds: Looking Through a Scientist's Microscope by Stephen Kramer

Greg's Microscope by Millicent Selsam

This program is free and open to the public and it is suitable for children ages 6 and up .

Reservations are highly encouraged as space is limited and the programs are very popular. You may sign up for this program beginning February 13.

For additional information and reservations, or to be added to our Family Saturday e-mail list, please call the Tang’s Visitor Service Desk at 580-8080.
