Over 250 postcards, collected by the artist during her travels, are stitched, grouped, and connected via an elaborate network of dotted lines. A "world view" of extreme and almost paranoid interconnectedness emerges. Each time the project is exhibited, Katchadourian incorporates postcards from the city or town where it is on view. The first postcard was purchased and sewn during a long layover in the Oslo airport in 1996.
