Steven Madoff is the Senior Critic at Yale University’s School of Art and has written for Artforum, The New York Times, ARTnews, Modern Painters and Time magazine. Author of Art School (Propositions for the 21st Century) (MIT Press) and editor of Pop Art: A Critical History (University of California Press).

Barry Schwabsky is the art critic for the Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum. His essays have appeared in Flash Art, the London Review of Books, and Art in America. Author of The Widening Circle: Consequences of Modernism in Contemporary Art (Cambridge University Press) and Vitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting (Phaidon Press).
