Join us on Friday, April 24, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, for Tangwaves V, a daylong transmission arts event in which we transform a hallway inside the Tang Museum into a tiny FM radio station (tune in at 87.9 FM) for a live broadcast of sound projects by individual artists, collaborative projects by Skidmore classes and student groups, and interactive experiments in listening and sound-making.
Stop by the museum to catch their frequency, pick up a portable radio, and see the transmission in progress. Their low-powered station will have a limited broadcast range, so you will need to be in the vicinity of the Tang to tune in to the “original” signal. We’ll also be rebroadcasting the entire day on WSPN 91.1, albeit with a 7-second delay, so if you’re patient, you can also hear us the second time around.
This event is free and open to the public.
Tangwaves is the second of three end-of-semester events celebrating student creativity at the Tang.
