Join us this week for Tang at Home Studio: Fluttering Butterflies! Register beginning Monday, July 27, to learn how to create your own butterfly inspired by a textile artwork by Malian artist Abdoulaye Konaté called Métamorphose de papillon, which is French for “metamorphosis of the butterfly,” and then join us for a live Zoom event at 2:00 PM Friday, July 31 (registration details below).

Hosted by Tang Museum Educator Sunny Ra, and geared toward children age 5 to 12 accompanied by a parent or other adult, this hour-long live session will focus on sharing with the group your butterflies and talking about where you would go if you were a butterfly and you were free to fly anywhere in the world!

Before Friday’s live event, check out written instructions here and the video below.

Tang at Home Studio: Fluttering Butterflies is free, however, registration is required and space is limited.

Once you register, you will receive confirmation, project instructions, and a Zoom link. Registration will close once the event reaches capacity.

If you have any questions, please email Museum Educator Sunny Ra at sra@skidmore.edu.
