UpBeat on the Roof with Rosary Beard

Rosary Beard, Matthew Loiacono and Hunter Sagehorn, perform during the Tang’s Quiet Music Festival on October 23, 2014. The duo performs as part of UpBeat on Friday, July 24, at 7 pm

Rosary Beard, comprised of Hunter Sagehorn and Matthew Loiacono, create intricately intertwined music on acoustic guitar. Each known in the Northeast for abundantly different music – Sagehorn’s angular, rhythmically-cryptic guitar work in rock band Alta Mira and Loiacono’s solo experimental mandolin and voice music as Matthew Carefully – the duo found new synergy in composing quiet, thoughtful music together. Rosary Beard performed last fall at the museum as part of the Quiet Music Festival, and are making their UpBeat debut.

Celebrating its 15th season, the UpBeat on the Roof summer series highlights regional musical talent in an array of styles.

UpBeat on the Roof is free and open to the public. The rooftop is accessible via the museum elevator or outdoor staircases. In the case of inclement weather the series is held inside the museum.
