Join us for an evening exploring art, performance, and African culture inspired by artist Nick Cave’s Soundsuit on view in the exhibition Affinity Atlas. With an introduction to Nick Cave by Amanda Gilvin, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History, the event continues with a discussion on the historical context with African Heritage Awareness Club, and art-making materials to craft your own soundsuit-inspired wearable art! Co-organized with Skidmore’s African Heritage Awareness Club.
