Skidmore welcomes 2015 Raab Visiting Artist Lisa Clague. Clague’s figurative ceramic work is drawn from dreams, fantasies, and fairy tales. Among her wide-ranging influences are Surrealism; the artists Louise Bourgeois, Hans Bellmer, and Hieronymous Bosch; and the animal-headed figures of Egyptian and archaic Greek art. She has exhibited her work extensively throughout the country, including solo exhibits at both John Elder Gallery in New York City and Blue Spiral Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Raab Visiting Artist Lecture is sponsored by Rosanne Brody Raab ‘55 and the Department of Art.
