In the Beginning…
A Creation Story Circle

Creation Story Circle provides a communal and informal space on campus for students of various ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds to share their creation stories. All different types of stories are welcome, from traditional hymns and excerpts from religious texts to spoken word poetry and family stories.

Come to share your own story or to listen to others.

Sign-up for story sharing is strongly encouraged (but not required). To sign-up, please email Carmen Lin at (clin@skidmore.edu) by November 30.

Creation Story Circle is inspired by an artwork currently on view in the Tang, Camille Henrot’s Grosse Fatigue, 2013. The video includes a soundtrack of creation stories from various cultures and religions throughout history. The event will take place in the Tang’s mezzanine lounge, Energy Field.
