On Tuesday, April 1, at 5 pm, join the English Department for a talk by Nicholas Dames, who will speak about his recent book The Chapter: A Segmented History from Antiquity to the Twenty-First Century (Princeton, 2023).
Nicholas Dames is co-editor in chief of Public Books and the Theodore Kahan Professor of Humanities in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. He has published widely on contemporary fiction, novel reading, and the humanities for The Atlantic, n+1, The Nation, New Left Review, the New Yorker, and the New York Times Book Review.
