A Talk by Gina Leigh Duncan
Join us for a talk by Gina Leigh Duncan exploring trans-issues in politics and the workplace. Duncan is the Director of Transgender Inclusion at Equality Florida Action. Her visit is organized in conjunction with the Skidmore College Scribner Seminar “Sexing Politics” SS100-023.
Gina Leigh Duncan is Equality Florida Action’s Director of Transgender Inclusion. Duncan is recognized as a national and international spokesperson and educator on transgender rights, public policy, and civic engagement. She was recently featured on the cover of Florida Trend Magazine, Florida’s largest business magazine, and selected as one of the Top 100 LGBT Movers and Shakers in Florida.
Duncan will speak about her experience as a transgender politician from Florida. She ran for County Commissioner in Orange County in 2012 garnering 40% of the vote. Her talk will also speak to trans-issues in the workplace—Duncan has over thirty years of experience working in Banking and Finance and transitioned in the workplace.
