Come join us for an evening of community connection and exchange in A More Perfect Union on Friday, December 9, 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
You are invited to take, share, and give in any way you would like:
Bring items, like clothes or books, you want to give away
Offer a skill, like teaching a language or playing an instrument
Donate to and learn about local organizations, including Saratoga Economic Opportunity Council, STEP (Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program), and Shelters of Saratoga
The event takes inspiration from the featured artwork in the exhibition: Flag Exchange by artist Mel Ziegler. The project constitutes 50 weathered United States flags, one from each state, that Ziegler collected from different people he met as he traveled across the country—home owners, business owners, etc. In exchange for their old flag, Ziegler provided them with a new one.
Tang Exchange is co-organized with Skidmore Sustainability and the Tang Teaching Museum. This event is free and open to the public.
