Join us Thursday, July 13, 7 pm, for a performance by Skidmore Chamber Music Institute: Decoda. Decoda is the first-ever Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall comprised of musicians who attended the renowned Ensemble Connect (ACJW) Fellowship program. The ensemble is based in New York City and dedicated to bringing meaningful musical experiences to audiences around the world. This is their fourth, annual, two-week intensive for advanced string, woodwind, brass and piano players offering multiple performance opportunities, daily rehearsals and classes relating to life as a 21st-century musician.
The performance will feature Anna Elashvili (violin), Siwoo Kim (violin), Angelia Cho (violin), Jack Stulz (viola), Claire Bryant (cello), Kris Saebo (bass), Catherine Gregory (flute), Brad Balliett (bassoon), Alicia Lee (clarinet), and Brandon Ridenour (trumpet).
For its 17th season, the UpBeat on the Roof summer series now takes place every Thursday, July 13 through August 24 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.
Performances are free and open to the public. The rooftop is accessible via the museum elevator or outdoor staircases. In the case of inclement weather the series is held inside the museum.
