Maya Mural Seminar

Join us for a Maya Mural seminar with a panel of archaeologists, who will present new findings about the San Bartolo mural narrative in conjunction with the exhibition 7000 Fragments: Maya Murals from San Bartolo, Guatemala.

The panelists include:

  • Heather Hurst, Skidmore College

  • Edwin Román Ramirez, Pacunam, Guatemala

  • William Saturno, San Bartolo-Xultun Regional Archaeological Project

  • David Stuart, University of Texas at Austin

  • Karl Taube, University of California, Riverside

The exhibition and program are part of a project by Skidmore Faculty Scholar-in-Residence Heather Hurst, Associate Professor and Chair of Anthropology.

The project is supported by the Office of the Dean of Special Programs; The Center for Leadership, Teaching, and Learning; the Tang Teaching Museum; and the Dean of the Faculty/Vice President for Academic Affairs office.
