Corita Kent, power up, 1965, serigraph on pellon, 29 1/8 x 141 ½ x 1 1/8 inches, Tang Teaching Museum collection, gift of Joseph B. Hudson, Jr. Esq., 2015.33.1a-d

Join us on July 28 for Family Saturday: Power Up. We will tour the exhibition Give a damn. and talk about the dynamic artwork of Corita Kent, and the ways in which her work sparked love and connections. After, we will make our own signs with stamps and ink pads of different colors.

Family Saturdays foster multigenerational creative cooperation through looking at artwork, discussing it, and engaging in a hands-on art activity. Most programs run from 2:00 – 3:30 pm and include a tour of a specific exhibition.

All programs are free and open to the public, and suitable for children ages 5 and older, accompanied by their adult companions. Materials are provided. Reservations are required and can be made starting one week before the program. For more information and reservations, call the Tang’s Visitor Service Desk at 518-580-8080.
