Roni Horn photographed Margrét H. Blöndal over a period of two months in hot springs throughout Iceland, as a study in the relationship between portraiture and landscape. “A person…is a multitude,” Horn has said. “The viewer’s relationship to the portrait is very erotic because there is eye contact and ambiguity.”
