Living with Tang Art

Art Loan Program for Skidmore Students

Have you ever wanted to live with art you saw in a museum? Roommate: Living with Tang Art returns this Fall. The program gives Skidmore students the opportunity to borrow artwork from the Tang collection to hang in their dorm or apartment.

This year, 100 works from the Tang Museum collection are available for students to borrow on a first come, first served basis. The works will be featured in an exhibition on view in the Payne Room beginning August 26. On Thursday, September 7, at 6 pm, students are invited to attend a viewing party and info session, where they can learn more about how to participate and view all 100 works. Then, on Saturday, September 9, at 9 am, students will line up for our Pickup Day event (the line, however, will form much earlier; in 2022, students began the line at 2 pm the prior day); the first 100 students in line have the opportunity to bring works home for the academic year.
