ROOM•MATE 2020
Living with Tang Art

This exhibition is a preview of the fifty artworks available for students to borrow as part of the Tang’s new student art loan program, Roommate: Living with Tang Art. Launched by the Tang Student Advisory Council, a volunteer group of students, Roommate invites Skidmore students to borrow artwork from the museum’s collection to hang in their dorm room or apartment. The exhibition and program feature works by a wide variety of 19th and 20th century artists, including Salvador Dalí, Nan Goldin, Corita Kent, Pablo Picasso, Malick Sidibé, Henri Matisse, Romare Bearden, and many others.

On January 23, at 6:00 PM, there will be a viewing party and reception open to the public that features all fifty works. And on the morning of January 26, students with Skidmore ID will have the opportunity to bring those works home for the spring semester.
