The Tang is excited to welcome you back into the galleries. The Tang reopened on Saturday, July 10, with new exhibitions and new gallery hours.
Open hours are:
Thursdays 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Fridays 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Saturdays 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Sundays 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Reservations are not required.
Following current CDC guidelines:
Fully vaccinated visitors are welcome to wear masks, though they are not required
If you are not fully vaccinated, we thank you for wearing a mask
The Tang's Zoom-based family art-making activities will also return. Tang at Home Studio sessions start Sunday, July 18.
Skidmore students and faculty conducting research or preparing for classes can make appointments during regular business hours. Is the Museum open to anyone?
Yes. The Museum is open by appointment during regular business hours through July 9 as we prepare new shows. We open to the public on Saturday, July 10.
As a Skidmore College faculty member, can I teach with Tang exhibitions and collections, remotely, in-person, or in a hybrid?
Yes! The Museum staff is available to work with Skidmore professors to schedule in-person visits, assist with research, and help with remote teaching. To make an appointment, contact:

Will there be any public events?
Yes! In-person Family Saturdays resume July 17. Zoom-based Tang at Home Studio sessions start Sunday, July 18. The twentieth season of the Upbeat on the Roof concert series returns Thursday, July 29. Please check our calendar for event updates or sign up for the Museum’s email newsletter.
Can I bring my community group/school group/home-school group to the Museum for a tour/art-making activity?
