Welcome!

The Tang Teaching Museum is free and open to all!

The Tang invites curiosity and active engagement with art and ideas. The Tang’s galleries function as exhibition spaces, lecture halls, performing arts venues, town halls, and laboratories for new ideas. All are welcome to explore what’s on view and expand their understanding about the diversity of the human experience.

When you’re in the gallery, our trained Tang Guide staff are available to answer any questions. They’re there for you! Learn more about Tang Guides.

Holiday Hours

The Museum will have special hours during Skidmore College’s winter break. Starting December 17, galleries will be open Tuesday–Sunday, noon–5 pm, except Christmas Eve & Day, and New Year’s Eve & Day. Regular hours resume January 21.

Some galleries will be closed as we prepare to open Everforward, Neverback on January 25 and a field of bloom and hum on February 14.

Plan Your Visit

The Tang presents over a dozen exhibitions each year, rotating new shows every few months. There is always something new to see. Visit often! Learn about what’s on view on our Exhibitions page. If you have any questions, contact our Visitors Services Desk at 518-580-8080 or tang@skidmore.edu.
